middle grandchild (Sean Doherty,) taken in 2007 ----- it’s always said “Harthaven” to me. Art Stafford

“Twenty-some years ago, while still summering in Brewster,  I had launched my boat out of Waquoit Bay and come across to MV to try to harass a few blues. While searching, I nosed into a quiet little harbor just south of the town of Oak Bluffs. I remember thinking what a great spot it was and how fortunate were the folks who lived there. In 1996, when Stan Hart insisted that a harbor slip was a wonderful asset associated with the house he was representing, I completely failed to make the connection. That came later, as I returned from an afternoon of fishing --- with the sun lowering in the west. Stan was right. And so was I --- we are very fortunate.” Art Stafford.
