A Vibberts memory: Jill Woollacott
In a recent memory I stated that I would visit here as a child. Each and every visit my mother and Phrons would always get us kids together with Phronsie, Frank, and Jed down at the Vibberts cottage. Phronsie and I were the same age so it worked out well for us to have each other to play with, I was always so jealous of her long hair!
We spent most of a day swimming and chatting like silly middle school girls do, and we both we starting to notice that boys weren't really "gross" after all, we had a lot of chuckles about it as a matter of fact. I really looked forward every summer to these visits, mostly because I loved Phronsie, but also because I was developing a huge crush on brother Jed. My mom overheard us one day talking about this, how I would love to have Jed be my boyfriend and pulled me aside later that night. When she ever told me that Jed was my cousin, and it wouldn't be right to have him as a boyfriend I about died!
Ahhh the memories of a 12 year old, I still remember the day she told me, and I tease Jed about it all the time. He was indeed my first crush, and still as handsome as ever.
